Since it wasn't striped, a pipe over the end of the ratchet or wrench does wonders. I'm not a very strong individual myself, so the pipe is my friend. That and the oxy acetylene torch lol.

breaker bars are the best, but she said she almost stripped it so, I am guess she was wary of that.

I've never had to use one of those. Just a regular wrench and a hammer.

I'm a big fan of breakfree, CLP. It's a cleaner, lubricant & preservative. We used it on the gun mounts on ship. Gets thru the rust and corrosion real nicely.
