I am kind of a do it yourselfer. I ordered a new bestop supertop for my new to me 93 Yj. wondered how difficult is the hardware install. The only place I know of that will install it is charging 225.00 to do it. That aint happening. My garage is not heated and its in the 50s now in ohio so gotta find a way to keep it warm. Any ideas or words of wisdom id appreciate. thanks

You can definitely do it yourself, especially if you are handy like you say you are. Its not hard, I took my Supertop out of the box never having put on a soft top and two hours hours later had it done. The hardest part was getting the top to stretch enough to fit, and it was 90 degrees outside. You will most likely have to find a heated garage and try to leave it in the sun when its warm if it is. You will probably need somebody else to hold up the other side of the bars, top etc. It makes it a lot easier. You will probably have to drill a couple of holes in the tub for some of the brackets, so get that drill ready.

i put a new complete top and hardware on my old cj its not to bad but i agree with red find a heated garage the tops are hard to put on when they are cold

its easy. The instructions are good. I put a bestop supertop on my 89 YJ and it went smooth. had to drill some holes for the new channels but that was easy. Its a nice softtop, made it like a new jeep again

get a little electric heater for the garage

Took me and my 10 year old daughter less than an hour in the driveway. We pulled it out of the box just to see what we were going to need and next thing I knew it was on.

I hear it's easier for a TJ.
