How many Jeeps have you owned . . .

. . . and which was your favorite?

#1 '93 Cherokee Sport
#2 '00 Wrangler TJ Sahara
#3 '01 Grand Cherokee

Favorite is the TJ (I still have). At one point, owned 3 Jeeps at the same time. I miss the Cherokee, not so much the Grand. Grand was my wife's DD, she is 5'1" and had problems getting in sometimes, especially had problems getting to the child seat. And now I'm thinking about going from 30" to 33" with a 3" lift and removing the side steps on the TJ. Better add a passenger side rope ladder.

1998 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 5 speed manual.
2010 Jeep Jk 3.8 6 speed manual.

To early to tell but man did I do a lot of things in that first one!

1996 my 88'vXJ Pioneer stock on 30's and it was a beast! I swear it had Limited slip in front.

1998 my 95' ZJ with 318 V8 on 31's and a BB and it was a beast minus the full time 4wd.
Stolen in Charlotte NC, got in a high speed persuit with officers... and got away.

2001 my 01' TJ used insurance $$ to put down payment and finally THIS year got'er lifted

Had '04 Grand I drove off the lot for 12k under sticker brand new. That was my "drive it till the wheels fall off" vehicle, right up until one of the wheels fell off... when I rolled it on a snowy road on New Years Eve (day) '05. The full time 4WD kind of did me in on that one (and the icy curve on the unfamiliar road contributed, to be sure, not to mention, I was going waaaay to fast for conditions).

I now have a '98 TJ, bone stock, which I absolutely adore. I have to say, I miss the Grand as one hell of a nice ride, but it barely saw the dirt. In fact, the night before I rolled it I did a little snow-wheeling, and the ABS light was on the next day... something about snow packing and freezing the ABS sensors or something like that? Anyway, the change in breaking profile also helped contribute to the accident.

Looks like I did not go deep enough into the search before starting this thread. went in this morning and redid the search. Earlier thread that starts with the exact same words as this one is buried on page 3 of the search results. I would have expected it to be the very first entry thread to pop up in the search.

Don't remember the years
Yellow CJ
Gunmetal grey CJ
05 Liberty (if you can count it as a Jeep - only 6 months, hated it!)
06 Rubi - my second love - second only to my OBM

I'll play your silly game.

I've owned 2 Jeeps.

1975 CJ-5, 4" lift-33"tires.......rolled all the way down a VERY steep hill.....RIP..... (Hey, I was 16 and had no fear. Still don't, but I do have a few more brains...)

My current 2005 TJ. Love it, and won't trade it for anything. When the time comes for a JK, I'll retire the TJ to trail duty only.

3. 1980 CJ7 Renegade, 2009 Wrangler X, and a 2008 Liberty. I loved the CJ, but that's been gone for a while. I'm in love with the Wrangler and the Liberty is my wife's DD and a great family vehicle.

The latest Four Wheeler mag had a top 10 4X4's for under $1000. The Geo Tracker/Suzuki Sidekick came in 7th. First was the Suzuki Samurai.

I know, they're not jeeps.

I sure see a lot of beater Samurais out in the desert. Those things just seem to keep on ticking..
