It's funny how we (I) by-otch about our gas prices/taxes in the USofA. Then I see your post about what you have to pay, mattverick (and those of others who live outside the US) and I really just can't complain.
You are totally right my friend! I really envy you about gas price and much other things! The old continent has this name for a reason, isn't it?

I have to do that around here because you can't swipe the same card twice at the pump. Or at least I've had that happen to me several times.

and its really fun when they put the gas pump next to the diesel pump in such a way that you block both when you fill up (or sometimes all three!). Or when the lines are 2-3 cars deep and your line only has the guy pumping and you and this impatiant person pulls up thinking they're all great for getting the short line... and by the time your done filling up 4 cars go through on the pump next to you... I love watching them stew in anger...

The reasons other countries pay so much is because they don't spend billions of dollars keeping the oil supplies safe every year. So in the long run they probably pay a heck of a lot less then we do.

$2.09 this morning. Now hear me out!!! B4 tou call BS.
My wife figured out how to get us a dollar off per gallon at every fill up. First my son is a gamer. We like Netflix, we shop at Kroger, lowes, best buy. We eat at applebees Chilis and a couple other resteraunts local.
Kroger also has a gas station. We joined the kroger plus club, and buy gift cards for all the places mentioned earlier plus what we earn on groceries. You get 1000 points and you get one dollar off. We collect about 1000 points in two weeks. We always fill up together with the discount. Works out to 75% of our gas being a buck off every time we fill up. Thus......

There is a kroger gas station 10 miles away from me. Maybe I need to try this.
