not a tj expert, but my friend has a TJ with 5.5 inches of lift on 35s. it looks good, but im sure you could fit 35s under your jeep. if you want to be comfortable, get a body lift or a small spacer.
it all depends on what you wana do with it, or how your building your jeep. my jeep sits on 35s with a 1.25" BL but I also did new axles, MML, TT, custom mid arm suspension, upgraded my brakes, SYE, double cardon rear drive shaft, custom trac bars, stronger steering box, HD crossover steering. you can't just throw 35s on your stock jeep and be able to wheel it. if your intent is to NEVER take it offroad I guess you could do it, but I wouldn't.
be aware you need change gear ratio too, so count that as part of cost too.. or you'll lose 5th gear on a high way... then again, 35" i doubt you ever wanna take it on high way..
i talking about 35x 12.50, on a 5.25" lift on a 2004 rubicon with the 4.0L.
