yeah, thats too high for sure...

knock another 3-4 off of that then i'd be interested

When I worked for Ford (lot porter in high school) the dealer demo's would have all applicable New Vehicle rebates (up to around 3-4k) and then would discount the demos another 3-4k to give it an automatic 6-8k off of sticker

Way too high. Remember you are buying a USED Jeep. Keep looking don't get in a hurry. Your Jeep is out there you just haven't found it yet.

Go to someplace like or and build one up with the options you listed. It will tell you what the exact invoice price of it is. Subtract 1% off that invoice price and that's what you could buy it for BRAND NEW, using the Chrysler Affiliate Rewards discount, which you can get through becoming a member somewhere such as Tread Lightly.

If the price they are quoting is close to that 1% below invoice price tell them that you're not buying a new one and that you expect to pay less than what you could buy it for new.

That is way to high, I have seen Sahara's with 38k MSRP going for around 30k after all the promos and all. I would counter him with something like 27-28k and if he says no, walk away. Especially since those 5k miles were probably not very easy driven. Dealers beat the piss out of demo cars.
