How to clean your jeep

Simple enough question. I've got mud and splatter spots caked all over the outside of my Jeep JK (under the hood, on the fenders, on the hood, in the grill, on the differentials, etc). And as much as I like getting it dirty, I like to get it cleaned every so often. But it's not working so well. Even if I scrub it with car wash stuff that I buy at autozone or whatever, it stays.

Does anyone have a recommendation on what I can use to clean both the exterior, and also under the hood?

Thanks in advance!

This is one of the reasons why MUD SUCKS!
Not to mention all of the moving parts that it works it's way into beneath and eventually fouls up.

run a search on this, there was another guy with a JK that had the same question about a week ago. Lots of good info in there.

I spray simple green all over the under carriage, and the engine and underhood. Let it sit for a few minutes then rinse. Its not gonna be sparkling but its 10x better than before.
Once you take your jeep in the mud once it will never be the same as far as being clean.
Just something that comes along with offroading.

You can try this, but you still have to scrub the spare.

That spare conveniently converts to an emergency flotation device, BTW.

The red Jeep may be another Chadwick. I don't understand how people get themselves into this kind of mess.

If you went mudding and have stuff stuck to the bottom of your Jeep, you can do like I do and place a sprinkler under the Jeep and let it run for about 1/2 hour. Most of it will come off. Then just gotta sweep the driveway aftward.

I do that but park it in the yard instead... nothing to sweep up

Haha, I would like to do that, but my Home Owners Assocation would poop bricks if I did.
