How to take the carpet out of my 97 sahara?

Forgive my ignorance, the jeep is my first vehicle and I kind of don't know what the hell I'm doing when it comes to technicalities of these things. Is the carpet easily pulled out, or do I have to take the center console and seats out of it to get it out? My carpet just gets puddles of water on the passenger side of it and it reeks. I need it gone! Any advice on how to do it? Thanks!

Pull it right out. I loosened the center console bolts but I don't think it's necessary.

Are your drain plugs pulled?

Once you remove it, are there heat or noise issues? I heard you still need something under the center console for this...

To remove carpet, grab carpet and yank it out. Done

You don't need any carpet to cover up anything. However most wranglers floors do get a little warm after driving a while. I have some rubber floor mats so never notice anymore. Shouldn't need anything else.
