Hydro or nitro shocks?!?

Hey all I'm paige. I have a 02 wrangler with 31s... I'm looking to lift suspension 2 inches but not sure about the difference of hydro or nitro shocks. Is the ride different quality better? Etc any help at all appreciated!!

From what I've read, the hydro shocks are softer, meant primarily for on-road use; the nitros are stiffer and handle off-roading better.
