I don't know what to do with my hair when I go topless...

Anytime that I take my top off my TJ, I'm faced with a conundrum: do the normal boring braid or let my hair whip my passengers in the face and create a huge tangle.

I'm hoping to have my top off most of the summer, but I don't want to braid my hair everyday. But, I work at a car dealership in financing so a pony tail isn't always an option either. Does anyone have any go-to styles they use?

I use a Goody up-do clip and pins to keep my bangs down or a variety of buns.

That's actually when I started cutting my hair short. When I bought my first YJ in 92, I noticed that with the top/doors off, the wind blew forward, so if my hair wasn't tied in a pony tail, I was basically blinded by my own hair.

Might want to stop by and talk to a stripper at the local strip bar they go topless and mosts of them have long hair. Just kidding. Check out some motorcycle sites that is a common problem with female and male riders with long hair who choose to go without helmets.

Most jeepettes I know keep a hat on the transfer case lever. And even I keep a crap load of hair ties on my stick shift for my wife and daughter.

I keep two hats in the center console. Chick hats not John Deere hats. Plus a bunch of hair ties. Single use. Check your stock before you leave with the girlies.

Good idea. That would make the kids happy.

My wife puts it in a pony tail and keeps a small Brush in her purse to brush it when she gets to our destination.

I have super long hair and all one length. I grab it in a ponytail holder, gather it all, and twist it all up. I get to work undo, brush, and go. Also, I will use a clip to gather it all up. I will do this wet or dry. I have a hat in my console (rarely use) and enough ponytail holders around my gear shift for an lifetime. I think layered and styled hair would be much much harder.

These are all really helpful! I usually have at least two hair ties around, I just never thought to leave them on my shifter! Thank you everyone!

I tell my wife that when she goes topless, no one is looking at her hair! After that everything goes white and I see stars( she is amazingly strong for such a small person!). Seriously, she has found some amazing clips at WalMart that seem to make her hair hurricane proof. She has even resorted to an old school hair net(I laughed..but the n the pain again).

I keep a baseball hat in the Jeep and always have rubber bands if I just want to pull it back.

I end up having to use a pony tail and a large (thick) headband to keep my bangs back from whipping me in the face. I do it this way if I want to wear sunglasses. If I don't want sunglasses, I'll just use a pony tail and a ball cap. I style my hair how I want in the evening/morning (depending on when I shower). I then carry some simple things that let me touch it up quickly after I've ridden in the Jeep, but usually just need a hairbrush.

I have also used bobby pins or small alligator clips for my bangs, and a low pony tail/pig tails depending on my mood.

I haven't tried it, but I wondered if a do-rag might work well.

I've got unusually long hair, so long I sometimes sit on it. I keep some heavy duty elastic hair bands around my shift knob for emergencies when I need my hair up in a messy bun. For a cuter look, I like to do a side braid or French braid.

Hair ties and tennis visor on shifter. Although I'm thinking the shower cap may not be such a bad idea on rainy days. I refuse to put doors on for just one day of rain.

Funny you should mention that, my sister told me last night that she wanted to wear one next time we went for a ride!

I learned a long time ago that keeping a stack of hair bands for my wife is a must.

My wife wears the motorcycle hair wraps... Some of 'em I lace up for her crossing the laces and tying it off. Others are more simple and just snap over her hair.

here are a few examples...
