I know how you feel, I ordered a Bestop safari top & that was the first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box was the Made in China tag

I just can't seem to get away from it. Everything is made in china these days. I guess because the sweat shops are paying these kids like $.50 a day so their labor is nothing. I ALWAYS try to buy something that is made in USA first.

I've bought crappy "made in the USA" products.

If I get a crappy product made in China I blame the company that allowed the crappy product to be made to low standards. Chinese manufacturers can produce high quality products, but only when contracting company demands high quality.

I do lament the loss of US jobs to overseas manufacturers, but companies here don't want to pay the kind of money that US laborers would need to be able to live, and US consumers don't want to pay higher prices that would result from paying US laborers a liveable wage.

And the Government wants ever increasing restrictions and taxes on companies here making it even more difficult to make a quality product AND a profit.

That's the truth right there.

Well...when the current laws allow corporations to hide all of their assets overseas to avoid paying taxes, what else can you do?
