I made a ____ for my jeep. (Post your homemade junk)

So just like the title says....Post up your homemade junk. And if you feel inclined you can even include a write-up so other jeepers can benefit from your ingenuity.

I haven't made anything for my jeep in a while so I guess I'll start us off with some old junk. Now that I have a couple of welders I can get back to making junk. The weather just hasn't been cooperative.

The front bumper.

A tummy tuck crossmember

And everyone's favorite.... The dash.

I am working on making them now. Just have to find the right pipe to make them. Steel tubing should hold up and 2 cotter pins on each side for the discos. Take bout 25 mins total. Actually take me longer to get the tools out then it will be to actually make them

Stock bumper.

Cut the end to the length and angle you wish.

Weld in the two oval holes for the license plate mount.

Cut out and weld plates to the ends.

Sand well
Primer & paint your color of choice.

This is how coyote's bumper came to how it is now.

Coyote...... I'm tell all the secrets.

Dude you weren't supposed to tell. You were sworn to secrecy.

Distorted's right (he helped) I had just the C channel chrome bumper and I shortened it cut the 45* ends with a 1" vertical spot at the top and boxed in the ends. Sand, paint and reattach.

Actually if you remember we used some of that "green stuff".

The metal I boxed in the ends with was about 3/16" thick. I think it took us about 3 to 4 hrs. It would have been quicker with a plasma cutter but all I had was an angle grinder with a cut-off wheel.

Green stuff? and do you think I could just use the ends that I cut off?

The green stuff is just some plates of steel painted green. 3/16ths is the thickness of it.

You should be fine using the metal you cut off. You'll need to cut three pieces to make it look like coyotes. A little piece for the top side, a piece for the lower side of the angle and a piece to cap off the back of the bumper.
