I need to know what questions to ask a seller.

This jeep for sale has a 4 inch rough country suspension lift and 3 inch body with 35 inch mt tires.

I know there's several other mods that need to be addressed with a lifted jeep like this, so that it drives & handles accordingly on & off road. I know about the brake lines & a slip yoke eliminator(kind of), but I need help with the rest. I am mechanically inclinded, I just don't know what to look for.

So, I need to know what to ask him over the phone & then what to look for, as lift mods go, if I go look at it. Here's the CL ad.
Oh, Thanks for looking.

Ask him if it has been re-geared properly for those 35" tires, and what gear ratio is in it.

Ask him if the brakes have been upgraded to properly run 35" tires.

Ask him what rear axle is in it. It's a Sahara, so hopefully it has the Dana 44. The Dana 35 does not like 35" tires too much off road unless it has been modified with a Super 35 kit.

Ask him how the transfer case shifter has been modified so you can shift from 2hi to 4lo smoothly, and without and problems, with way too much body lift.

Or better yet, Ask him to remove the 3" body lift, or replace it with a 1.25" body lift.

That should start the deduction process going off the asking price.

I agree, I'd rather not have the body lift.

Thanks a lot for the help Dave.
