So last weekend (6-2) my hubby said he wanted to cut back the bumper. I told him lets wait till we get the end caps for them first. It would look better. Well yesterday his dumb ace went to pull forward through a parking spot, half way through a car came in to take it. No biggy he goes to back it out an the front bumper, yes the one he wanted to cut back, got caught on the bumper of a VW SUV thing and screwed it all up. If I just let him cut it back nothing would have happened. OH well live and learn.

Sounds to me like he was too close to the car to begin with so I certainly would not blame the bumper for being a couple of inches longer for the snag.

At least make him go on the days when they teach proper backing technique.

It was intentional!

He'll do anything to get you to let him trim the bumper.

lol!!! next time he will hit a hummer with one of the fenders so you have to upgrade to tube fenders, then he will back into an F150 and destroy the stock spare tire carrier so you have to upgrade to a swing away tire carrier, hmmm THEN he will drive OVER a camry and mess up the suspension so you HAVE to get a 4" lift.. then he will run over a midget who is trying to cross the street and break the rear driveshaft so you will need to upgrade to a SYE / CV driveshaft.... this could work out well i need to do this to my own jeep to get away with some more mods

Sounds like he's done a trip on you physiologically to think/feel HIS STUPID ACTS are YOUR fault!

Tell him he needs to go get driving lessons. Most idiots can back up without ripping off a bumper!

You have got it made girl.

Usually, Jeep owners have to get the OK from the significant other to spend money on mods and upgrades. You have the opposite problem.

With that said, let him do the bumper and hope that he screws it up. If he does? New bumper for you.

Personally, I would try to go bigger. Like, Let him paint your stock wheels. If you dont like them? New wheels.

You could be fully modded in a year.

I am amazed that it took 14 comments before someone brought up the thread title.

Regardless if you are a male or female, that is a risky thread title.

Now you can get a “real” stubby bumper.
