That's what I want to be!! Well mechanical engineer, if I can get a PhD then I will. Any recommendations or words of encouragement to help me out with?
I'm a 17 year old high school student and I make money as a ropes course instructor while also installing lift kits and wiring up various systems for kids at my school
I just got my Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering last year. My words of wisdom would be Start brushing up on calculus now. Even if you don't understand it, seeing it before having to do it helps a lot. My high school offered either statistics or calculus my senior. me being stupid chose statistics... It would have helped a lot.
Also, group homework sessions are the best way to plug and chug your way through problems, because if you get distracted someone will set you straight, or you'll end up having a lot of fun and not get any work done (its happened before...). You also need to know when to work on something yourself, see a TA if you need to, and ALWAYS start a project before the night before its due...
College is all about time management... Just remember the sooner you can get something done, the more time you have for things you want to do... Like partying...
