Theres a TON of Jeepers up here at Fort Drum. I swear I get more waves driving around on post than I do just driving around the city.

I'm a licensed clinical social worker and had been in private practice for over 20 years but with this economy and so many people without health insurance and unable to afford psychotherapy, I'm going to work for the VA.

To all the poster here that are current or past Armed Service members.
Thank You.
As for me, I worked for a local water company installing water mains and services.
For the last five years, I worked as on a crew changing water meters in the field.
Everything from 3/4 in. house lines to commercial water meters.
After 42 years, I retired.
Now I do what ever I feel like.(As long as the DW approves)

I am a firefighter/paramedic. I'm not gonna bash on the cops and tell everyone how much stronger and faster and braver and smarter and tougher we are than them. I'm not going to do it, just doesn't seem right. I will just let this video do all the talkin:

I'm with LU 494 in Milwaukee area, we are at 220 or so and the only thing coming up is the Oak Creek power plant scrubbers. I would think we are well over a year wait here. I only worked 3.5 months last year and still waiting to go out. One of the trade mags, stated there was 24.7% unemployment in construction last month.

No different than cops trying to get us to take a drunk off of their hands because they don't want to deal with him anymore. Every career has a few bad seeds. Hell, I work with some. I personally love going on calls. And I don't mind you guys at all. Someones gotta keep people in line. It's all in fun.

Stay in school.

I do what they make most TV shows about. Yup the weaker, slower, more cowardly, dumber, gentler local cop. Did I miss any Lando?

Nice to see some union brothers here. It really sucks when times get like this, I've only been in 9 years so I haven't seen it any worse then it is now. I also haven't experienced REALLY busy times either when you could work anywhere you wanted. Hopefully it'll start turning around soon. Side jobs are even dried up out here.
