My actual job is changing flight controls and rigging of cables and many other things of that nature but my second hand job is if a jet were to go down after first responders go in and clean up bodies and secret stuff we go in and recover the aircraft parts and pieces or if a jet were to get stuck on the runway or go off the runway we would de-bog it or in other words get it unstuck

And that last part was where my head went. I hope you don't have tp do this often. And I just gotta say I have seen a derailed train and it freaked me out...a plane crash must be eerie.

Having had to do that part of my job ever so far thankfully and hopefully it never happens. It would be nerve wrecking to me.

It's been interesting reading this thread. Very tech heavy. And a lot of military or former military. But I guess that makes some sense.

I was an Army medic many many years ago, then went to school and ultimately became an attorney, did that for 37 years, but packed it in at the end of 2012.

I did not retire, however. I am now a district court judge.

I'm a weaver at a shop that produces hoses for large mining operations. I run a loom that weaves 1' diameter hose liners out of polyester yarn.

Or sometimes I tell people I knit socks for giants. Take your pick

I sell wheels, tires, brakes, and suspension. This job is finally going to afford me the jeep I've wanted ever since I sold my last one 2.5 years ago. I miss my baby...

less than 3 months left.
