It's cold here, so my thoughts turned to this:
Georgetown Colorado is not too far from Denver, up in the mountains. For a long time they've raced on the ice of a small lake there. The club is called Our Gang Racing.
They do some classes for the serious people. Lots of very powerful old metal. And just about the only circumstance where a lowered Jeep is cool.
I plan on going for sure this year, in the fun amateur classes. Can't drive a company Jeep, since the insurance company gets all freaky when you use the word "race." But it's mellow racing with each car starting at opposite ends of the track. No contact, no damage. I'll drive one of my personal rides. Should be a blast!
