If you have to walk back half way through a test drive you probably don't want it.

So, I'm looking to buy my first Jeep. Went to check out a 93 YJ tonight and after getting a couple blocks from the guys house I stopped to test the 4WD, start moving again, stop to try 4W Low and had no brakes. Come to find that the break line blew out.

I don't believe in omens but if I were to start it would be tonight.

Detectives would call that a "clue".

ballistx, near Philly, so its a fair chance a rig can be rusted out around here. We checked the frame pretty well and it was as solid as one can hope on a 93. But you can be sure I'll have a look at the brake lines from now on. Though I'm not sure if I know how to tell if they are bad by sight.
