I'm in love with my new Jeep! The work beings...

Thankfully my husband's not jealous and he's ok with all the cool stuff I want to do to it...even suggested the lift and new tires!

Anyway, its the new 70th Anniversary Edition. I love the color! It looks even better in person. I had a b*tch of a time finding one because I didn't want to wait for a special order but was finally successful. I searched the internet everywhere for pictures of this color with a soft top and pictures of the interior of a Wrangler but couldn't find anything...Anyway, It rolled off the truck yesterday and I travelled 350 miles to pick it up. The interior pictures didn't turn out very well, but it is really nice looking and comfortable.

My other little toy is back in the corner (its a 64)

Congrats on the purchase! If I were to buy a 70th that color would have been my pick.

Gladly! Been doing some major detailing. Getting her cleaned up...finally going to sell. This has been a fun car, and now I'm looking forward to fixing up my Jeep! The chrome rims have got to go, small lift, bigger wider tires, the list is ever growing. I think this color needs more black surrounding it... Anyway here's more pics of the vette right after the resto

Hey Sista!! Way nice Jeep you got there. I like the color & I think black will look great around it. Can you imaging a black grill on that thing?? Perhaps after a few years of stone chips lol.

Keep us updated with the changes you make.

the black grill is on my list, and I have been scouring the forum trying to find the ones where people put the black "mesh" on the inside of their grill...can't seem to remember what buzz words to search.

Just placed an order last night for

rugged ridge floor liners
black painted aluminum locking fuel thingy
locking drawer for under seat
black stubby antenna
grab handles
locking lug nuts
1 1/2 inch seat riser kit off ebay (ordered one cause I want it black)

first things first...

congrats on the jeep! These are the first "real owner" pics I've seen of the 70th. I've factory ordered a 70th Unlimited silver w/silver hardtop with black leather myself.

Did you go with the Olive or Black leather? it's hard to tell from the pics. Do you have other pictures of the interior?

I will post more interior if you like later this evening. It's hard to get the color to show but I got olive. It's beautiful. I searched everywhere for pics and then just pulled the trigger and bought based on the look of the stock photos. I am really happy with it! Tires and wheels and a liitle more black will do the trick. I am trying to find a black grille overlay also.

Here's some additional interior pics

And my first mod...tinting of driver and passenger windows...hopefully I won't use it much and the top will be off all summer!

This is probably going to be our weekend project...I think it looks great on jeeps...I'd still like to find a whole grille overlay that is black so I dont have to paint my whole grille, but I haven't seen one. Maybe I'll have to get a chrome one and paint it...a girl's gotta have options ya know!
