Iphone 5 and uconnect 130s

A thread might be out there about this but I cant find it. I was just wondering if the iphone 5 works with uconnect 130. Or if anybody knows if they are talking about a update for it.

Iphone 5 and uconnect 130s

I have a 2013 with a Uconnect 130 and the Bluetooth/hands free package. Works fine with my iPhone 5 sending and receiving calls plus audio streaming. No issues there.

I take it that this phone has never been paired to the Uconnect system. A couple things that you can try is:
1) Do a reboot of the phone by pressing the home & power buttons till the white apple comes up, then release them. The phone will now reboot.

2) Try to pair it up now. If it pairs up now ,great. If not then go to #3.

3) Check to see if anything is currently paired to the Uconnect system by press and release the Uconnect phone button and say "set up, phone pairing, list paired phones". Uconnect will read off any that may be paired. If there are phones already paired up, then delete them by pressing and release the Uconnect phone button and say "setup phone pairing, delete phone", Uconnect will ask for the name of the phone or say all. Say "all".

4) Try to pair again.

In my 2013, the pairing starts with Uconnect and not the phone. You start there and tell it to pair a new device. Uconnect then asks you for a pin, you say they pin and it records it. Then you go to the phone and pair and enter the pin you gave Uconnect.

I have a 2013 and have had no issues with it other than my user error. I've even had to repair it a few times due to phone issues on apples end. You can always stop in to the dealer and ask for help.

Good luck with finding a dealer that will actually try to figure something out. Most will just feed you with a bunch of BS about a new update that is coming soon or the famous "oh, your phones not on the approved phone list" so it won't work.

Did you try rebooting the phone as I mentioned in the above post? (steps # 1&2)?

Hey thanks for all the info and help everybody, It works now. Apparently jailbreaking your iPhone messes that up.... So when I restored to factory settings it worked.
