I'm looking for a power top for my wifes four door. Any suggestions? I want something with good quality.

Sell the Jeep and buy a Lexus... Power tops shouldn't be on a Jeep.

If you buy it you'll be the first despite the fact that this product has been around for 3 years.

Daggo, you mean the first on this forum, or do you really know they've not sold a single one?

This is not the only forum. I am on 4 of them and there are more. No one has ever reported having one and I have never seen on at any Jeep show or function. Now naturally that doesn't mean someone somewhere doesn't have one, but if they do they aren't showing it off or talking about it. Now, don't you think that's odd for a product that has been on the market for 3 years?

Yup- crazy to think they put all that r&d into it and it's going unsold. Obviously, the price is too high or it's not finding the right demographic. Would anyone here buy one for the right price?

It's more than price, it's the function. Where do you think the motor for that goes? Why is it only for the 4 door? Obviously it needs all the extra storage space that is available in the 4 door. Why would anyone give that up? What's happening to the windows when it retracks? It's totally unnecessary. It only takes a couple of minutes to put your top up or down once you know what you're doing.

Do you even know what a hypocrite is? Did anyone say that he shouldn't get one? A Jeep (CJ/Wrangler) has never been a convertible. For more than 70 years it has been an open body utility vehicle that can have either a soft or hard top. Did you even know that at one time the top and doors were options?

So by that logic anyone who has a top and doors on today should go buy a Lexus or maybe we will all just puke because they have a top on because at one time Jeep tops were optional!?!? It is a power top, WHO CARES!!!! Maybe the OP has some reason why they cannot put down the top by hand like the rest of us. It was their first post and most of the WF responses were negative responses , why would anyone want to stay on a forum where they get harped on for asking a simple question, this isnít pirate!

I would buy the power top if I was not 6' tall and my jeep had over a 4" lift just saying. Cause I am 6' tall and have 35's with a 4" lift if I had 37's a 6" lift or more it would be a pain in the ass to put on and lay back lay back easy on not so easy.

Has anyone on here repaired their soft top lately? I've read on other posts about having marine repair shops do the work but I need a 2.25" x 96" zipper that seems non existent. Any suggestions? I'm on a budget and would love to take the top off soon

That was random. Just under 3" lift with 32" BFG KM.

Power tops will be an option on Wranglers in the next few years....just a guess, but I know they will try it out and people will buy it.

I have to agree with you, I will be soon. IMO that's sad also that consumers are making the Wrangler less and less of what the original was all about. I am not bashing any certain model or year range but there are just some things that Jeep is offering because the consumer wants it. I have looked at options that are offered and honestly thought I had the Grand Cherokee site up! Again not bashing a CJ,YJ,TJ, or JK guess its just how consumers are, bigger, better and want everything

Unless the zipper is noticeably physically damaged somehow, the problem is the pull, not the zipper. I've repaired mine before after a moron at a marine top repair shop made it worse. Only cost me a couple bucks for new pulls and stops online and fixed it right up.

I'm 6'3" and that's how I put my top up. What does your height have to do with it?

You know - that Rugged Ridge top is kinda slick. Don't think I'd ever shell out the coin for something like that, but still - seems pretty cool to me.

The top looked cool in the video. If I had money to burn I'd do it. Butt...I like the simplicity of my 97TJ. My TJ is not my daily driver. I use it on the weekends and when I feel like it.

I'm cool with it missing some higher options found in more luxurious vehicles.

Try a place that repairs canvas for camper trailers or RV's they might be able to help you
