I got cut off on a one lane bridge by a JK. I still waved, but got a confused stare. Most of the jeeps in the area wave back. I get crankier when I don't the 'I stopped to let you cross the one lane bridge even though I'm running late because my mother taught me road courtesy' wave. No one has any manners anymore.

My wife smacks me if I forget to wave when I'm driving the CJ or the YJ... then she laughs at me if I do the Jeep wave when I'm driving my Pick-up truck!

If I'm driving the pick-up with the CJ in tow, am I supposed to wave?

This is way too confusing! WTF... I'm just going to wave at everyone no matter what I'm driving! LOLOL

Five wranglers and one CJ today. Not one single wave. dang it. I'm starting to think no one can see me behind the wheel.

Roll down the window and stick your arm out?

I thinks it's just a lot of people buying jeeps to be cool, not because they understand the jeep thing. It's sad to think of all of those jeeps never knowing the bliss of off roading.

There are alot of non-wavers here where I live, mostly people that just have a jeep. In fact I thought one lady, by the look I got, was going to call the cops because I waved at her. Although yesterday on the way home from the Japanese restaurant I had to pull over because I was laughing to hard. I waved at a kid in a stock jeep and he did everything he could to wave back including shoving the burrito he was eating in his mouth to free up one had. Now heres the picture this poor kid probably dis-heartened by not getting the wave back finally gets one and is so excited that he waves back and looks right at me with a burrito hanging out of his mouth about 3 inches. I laughed because I remembered when I did the same but when I turned my head the burrito smash against the window so I was out a lunch and had it all over the door and across my left leg lol. Its to bad that the wave isn't a required class given before buying a jeep.

Where I live now (across the Hudson from Manhattan-NYC) I almost never get waved back. Still do it every time I see one though. You think wranglerforum.com stickers could help create awareness of the "jeep thing"?.

The folks in Pennsylvania and Maryland are pretty consistent with "The Wave"... there are a lot of Jeep Clubs around... maybe that helps with it too.

tiny terror: If I saw you with that Tank Girl hat on, I'd wave at you no matter what you were driving! The pics just cool!

I'll trade 2000 posts for a steel YJ hood. I'll throw in my fiberglass hood with the post count.
