is this a good deal on an 06 SE for my first Wrangler?

I'm really straddling the fence and can't decide...

down from $18,600 to $14,995, got my trade up another $1500...

'06 SE, 4 cyl, 6 speed, AC, softtop, larger than stock BFGs, stock steel rims...that's about it...
right at 7400 miles...

with my trade and financing for 3 yrs it'll cost me like $225.93 a month from what the credit union said...

probably slight mods like a mild lift, different wheels...and my offroading opps are few and far between, and use as a daily driver for a bit...but i'm wondering if this is a good deal? i've had a cherokee, comanche and G.C...but this would be my first Wrangler...

i tried to find a 'base model' 07, but the stealership across town for jeeps look at me weird and said they'd not order one, that they have 3 2drs on the lot, and they are all over $25k...ah well...
thanks for any advice...

Seems to be an OK deal to me. You might find the 4 banger a little under powered unless you regear after a lift and larger tires. For a daily driver it should be good IMO.

Price-wise sound like a solid #. Agree with Odhinn, probably be disappointed w/the 4 banger's power, even on-road when it's time to do some agressive city driving or passing could be a challenge. Gas mileage still very similar to that of the I-6. All that being said, the price seems good for an 06. Good luck.

04 Sahara, with a lift, some stuff, and a few things, on some 33's, blah, blah, blah.
A perpetual work in progress. Too much to list, not nearly enough to matter.
My RigRater Score: 387RRv1.0 with a BOA of 18.92 (and just how exactly is this going to help me over that big arse rock?)
