I have done some research and this overall gets good reviews. Mostly positive other than kinked lines straight from the factory. But you can always replace them with synthetic lines.
Get at least a 8k lb winch. most Jeeps with gear, bigger tires and people are pushing close to 4k lbs. Thus 8k has you covered, with a snatch block you can have a 16k pulling force if ya need it.
i read a test of this winch in jeep magazine and they seemed to like it. If you just need something for light occasional use this should work. I am thinking about getting one for me, i dont make it offroad that much but have been stuck while out hunting or fishing a time or two.
My friends have have good luck with the Smittybuilt winches, for the price you really can't beat how well they work. Nothing, and I mean nothing will compare to a high speed Warn winch though.
