I've created a time bomb! welded spider, d35, w/ 35's!

I blew my ring and pinion the other day, and also turns out that my spiders were F-ed also, but I didnt order new spiders

I decided to weld them up good (I can still get the pin out if they have to be replaced), lots of fun in the snow yesterday on the slick road. Its wasnt to bad at all driving to work this morning on the salted and sanded pavement.

What kind of carnage am I possibly soon to be looking at? snaped axles? etc...? (i love jeep carnage!, just a reason to upgrade)

What precautions should I take to prevent these? or am I just F-ed?

Thanks,
Neil

I'd say the way you drive that thing you belong in the just f'd category.

You can expect axle shafts, ring gear, case cracking, housing flex. Pretty much the hole gambit.

I'd vote for "All of the above" Probably good you like carnage, as I think you are getting ready to see quite a good bit of it!

I suppose you mean other than parking it, or actually fixing it right BEFORE you tear it up?

well I'm not chripin the tires going into to second gear anymore, thats for sure...... not so sure about tight turns in parking lots and such, most likely just gonna have to power slide around those turns

I'll find a 44 to swap in if i blow it up

I'm trying to save up for either a powerstroke or durmax truck for a daily driver/towrig.... I'm trying to save as much money as possible with the jeep... ah, the life of being 18 and owning a jeep

I loved driving welded on snow and ice. It was a blast. If you stay on ice your 35 will last.... for a day or so.

Already been through that stage.... worked at a bicycle shop for 3 years They are just as expensive... I bought a "downhill" bike that was worth 4g's and sunk a G into later on that day... Then four month of saving gone

Vehicles cost me just as much as bicycles

It lasted through the night, lots of rear end hop around tight turns

Hell yeah, I think its pretty close to going! lol

Something is squealing up a storm under their... The squealing increases with speed, still happens when it in neutral while rolling but is gone when stopped.... so its anywhere from the end of the trans to rear..... I think my whole jeep is a time bomb...

I'm having one of these weeks where I hate my jeep.... I need to get myself a real DD that I can still fun in and not blow up..... I'm looking at used duramax/alision trucks... I need to get rid of my t-bird with the blown motor first
