or you can just pull up one end and twist about 4 times then stick it back on, if it's stil opening too far, pull off and twist somemore

thats a heck of an idea there... dig it.

I had my oldest son (13) drop the door open when we were stopped on a hill leaning towards his side... I was like "nooooo" then "POW!" the strap actually held up but it yanked a threaded screw right out of the door as it bent the bracket outwards until the strap came off of it...

As you begin to own a jeep longer the "Its a Jeep Thing" takes over and you will find your foot flying out of the jeep of its own accord to stop your door from flying open into somebody else vehicle
Just a matter of time

I think my foot is out of the door before the door opens I don't know how it's that fast though.

ya, the twist thing only happend to the passenger side door. my wife is a little short and steps onto the rear wheel, and levers herself up with the handle hanging from the roll bar and the door. I'm working on getting my left foot up to speed to prevent damage to those poor little(tiny) cars....

It never fails when I pick my 3 year old up from daycare that some jackwagon parks close next to me. When that happens, I reposition the limiting strap by using the center portion of the strap while I put her in the car seat in back. I wouldn't leave it there long though because I think it'll be weaker that way, but it is a temporary fix.

Most of the time people see my filthy jeep and will park on the opposite line to avoid parking very close, unless it is another jeep (with the exception of JK's I think they are afraid of jeep cooties or something) lol. I know it is in fear that I am going to inadvertently damage their car with dirt, flying doors, or random loose parts falling off. Its kinda nice not being cramped at wally world parking.

My JK likes to shame other jeeps. It's always dirty. It gets played with a lot!
