Jeep Engine Replacement. Which model?

Hey guys. My Jeep's engine recently died, and I've been juggling different options. My latest predicament is just purely finding an engine. Apparently Jeep used the same 4 cylinder engine for alot of different models of Jeeps - the AMC 150. So my question is, can I get an engine from another year like a 92 or 87 CJ for my 98 TJ or are the differences too great? Anyone know if there are similar engine years I can use? Thanks!
