Unhappy Jeep haters

Why does this happen to me??!!

Maybe because I live in a semi-dangerous college town....with drunk students and townies who are never up to any good. But WHY THE JEEP! Can't you just leave my baby alone?!

I found her like this just a couple days ago.......air drained out of two of my tires. An eclipse that was parked behind me got their tires drained as well so hopefully it was just a random crime and not someone who is out to get me. Filled them back up with my portable compressor but then drove on it that night and there was an audible leak coming from the front right tire. Found a pretty big slice along the side. I hate people right now! You mess with my Jeep and I am not a happy camper.

Just dropped it off @ a Pep boys this morning.

That's pretty ridiculous! I would severely injure someone! I would even go as far as video monitoring my Jeep 24/7 because big Jeep tires are NOT CHEAP to replace! Why do people have to do stupid things for their own amusement? I can think of at least 100 funner and funnier things to do that would not be at the expense of someone else

a couple years ago, my buddy went to a bar and came out to all 4 tires slashed. there was one other jeep in the parking lot, with all 4 tires slashed as well. only the two jeeps were messed with. i'm guessing someone was just looking for somebody with a jeep, but didn't know the color, etc.
people are aholes.

that is just horrible!!

If that ever happens to me and I find or catch the people doing it, those people would need a hospital.

Haha LOVE this! You're all so supportive, I knew I could come here and everyone would get how upset I am! My friends are sympathetic but none of them are Jeepers, so I'm not sure they truly understand!

people are just a-holes. nuff said. i was young, and immature a few years back (im only 19) but we never vandalized stuff. we would spray tennis balls with gas, light it on fire and play catch with it in the middle of the street at night. haha. i miss my childhood

Shortly after I bought my current Jeep (a 2000 TJ bought used in 2004) I bought new 33" BFG mud terrains. A week or two after that, someone sliced one of them. Luckily I had a no questions asked replacement warranty.

man thats terrible.

about a year back before i had a jeep my dads rubicon ( 04 ) was parked in the drive way, neighbors had a small rock garden thing for decoration in front of their house, some one in the middle of the night picked up a few hand fulls of rocks and chucked them at my dads black rubi, came out the next morning and hard top window had nicks in it and paint was chipped. it did have some battle scars from wheeling already but still. few weeks later someone broke the butterfly window in my toyota pick up to get my stereo, my buddy saw them, and chased them off. searched for them for about 2 hours with a lead pipe. hahaha never found them.
vandalizing of someones property infuriates me.

I'd have been really peeved too.

One thing you might look into, is the deductible on your comprehensive coverage for your Jeep.
I carry a low $50 deductible. It covers things like this, rock damage to windshields, slashed tops, stolen stereos and so on.

That way, if they DO hit your Jeep, you're only out $50 instead of $250 or $500.

I had a situation when I had my Pathfinder...2 frat dudes tried to get in my truck while I was getting out of work a few years back. It was 2 a.m., they were drunk, and they didn't even know I was heading toward them ready to rock. Beat the shxx out of one dude, the next guy was heading for me, and cops pulled in. Damn cop wanted me in his custody for beating the guy up, the other guy took off. Cop didn't recognize me at first (I work for coroner's office part time, so I work with a lot of cops), then he realized who I was, and my truck. He wasn't even going to listen to my story of being the owner of the vehicle, until he recognized me. I was pissed...and the next time I had him on an accident scene, he got his precious black leather driving gloves "dirty" 'cause I wasn't dragging a "messy" body off the road for him. "Don't get mad, get even" I saw the 2 guys again, since their frat house was up the street from where I used to work. Found out what they had for rides, and I used a valve stem core remover on all their tires...best feeling in the world when I was done. No damage, all they had to do was get the stems re-cored for a few dollars. Cops didn't even do anything because there was no break-in..."because I stopped them" was their line. Wasn't worth pressing charges.

That is some story. Victim's Rights has gone too far. I bet the one guy you did catch will think long and hard about doing that again in the future.
