Arrow Jeep Heritage Festival in August

Hey anyone else hear of, or planning to attend the Bantam Heritage Jeep Fest. in August? Sound like it might be similar to Jeep Beach in Daytona. Located in Butler, PA... just north of Pittsburgh. The dates are August 12-14 and I posted link below.... just an FYI. Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival

This is supposed to be the first one and they plan to make it a regular event much like Jeep Beach in Daytona. I can't make it to Daytona this year, so I registered for this Jeep Event. I'm about 7 hrs away but it should be a fun little trip. We will be camping at the fairgrounds and just enjoying the event for the weekend. Trail rides, games, parade....

I registered and paid for this back in November but I've already had 2 friends bail on me so I'm still undecided whether or not to go it alone. Looks like I have until May to decide to get a refund. It would be cool to be part of a world record, that is if they can pull it off.

Doubt there would be enough to set a record, seeing this is the first event, whereas Jeep Beach is in its 8th year and crowds get bigger each year. But still should be alot of fun. I will be there camping at the fairgrounds with my son. He is really excited to be going.

Anyone know the current record? It would be nice to know what they're trying to beat.

Just signed up. The Fairfield Inn is booked solid. Others are filling up fast. I was heartbroken when my sweetheart informed me that we'd have to stay in a King Suite with a hot tub The first 500 Jeeps that are registered will get a dash plaque for attending the parade. My confirmation stated that I was within the first 500 although it did not state how many.

If you're thinking about going, see me tomorrow at the ORV Trail. We booked an extra room with two double beds. I figured a few other BRJ members may be interested.

Just rec'd an e-mail back from Bantam registration. It stated that they are approaching the 400 marker for Jeeps registered for the parade. It went on to state that there is currently no Guinness record for the longest Jeep parade. Rausch Creek is doing the obstacle course, lots of vendors, I'm ALL-IN!

Compared to the cost of going on one of the Jeep Jamborees.... The Bantam Jeep Fest. is a way better deal! Hope they can pull it off right... being the first event and all. I am registered for the Dirty Jeeper or whatever its called. Hope they get a good concert for Saturday night! That should be a party!

I will be there. My sister's jeep will be there. My sister and bro-in-law might be there. They say they will go but you never know with them.

I have keys to their house and the beep so it really doesn't matter.

They live in Cranberry so I can crash at their place.

My cousin is going also so I will have at least 1 person to hang out with.

I'm entered in the parade as well.

I will take many pictures.

Can't wait.

Their facebook page now states that they have over 500 Jeeps registered for the parade so far. This is going to be awesome! This event isn't until August and there's over 500 preregistered? This is shaping up to be larger than I had expected

Just 4 more days left...

Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival

There's no place better than Butler, Pa. to show your love for Jeep! That's because Butler is the birthplace of the Bantam Jeep, the world's first Jeep.

Butler's American Bantam Car Company developed, produced and delivered the Bantam model in 1940 in response to the U.S. Army's request for an all-purpose military vehicle. Nearly 3,000 Jeeps were produced at Bantam's Butler factory in 1940 and 1941.

The first annual Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival will take place August 12-14, 2011. Make plans to celebrate Jeep in the place where it all began. Butler, Pa...birthplace of the Jeep.

Visit www.bantamjeepfestival.com for more information and to register you Jeep for the festival.

All jeeps can register for the parade, more than 500 jeeps already have. We expect to officially break the record for most jeeps in a parade, will your jeep make history?

Jeeps of all types are coming from more than 20 states and Canada. Spectators are welcome! You don't need to own a jeep to attend the festival.
