Congrats, I guess... I'm with birdhunter on this, 11% is crazy.... Shop around and refinance that baby! We got 4.15% on the '07, could get 4.39% on an '06.....

Agreed... I just looked at the Bank of America website and they're offering 3.65% on refinances, if you qualify. I'm using them for my new car purchase, they quoted me 2.74% for that.

congrats and I'm going to sound like a broken record too. 11% is scary big, I bought a 2010 new for 3.9% through the dealer. You should definitely check into a better rate.

It's always nice to knock it down.... like the others said too... look for a refinance.. I got 3.75 back in 09 and will probably have it paid for by year's end. I wouldn't have even signed at 11%, but we all have different cirmstances.

Enjoy your low interest rates now while you can... within the next 2 to 4 years 11%+ rates will be the norm.

Congrats, but I assume the interest rate is based on previous history as well.

Sounds like the O.P. was celebrating how he was able to pay it down that much WITH an 11% interest rate.

Congrats. The peanut gallery is always quick to point out how much smarter they are.

Hi, I'm the peanut gallery, and I'm here to let you know that it is much smarter (fiscally) to save your money and pay cash than to borrow money.

Congratulations, thetoadLJ, for paying extra on your loan to pay it off quicker. That too, is very smart.

This is the last post I'll be making in this thread.
