Unhappy Jeep is going bye bye for awhile...

Hopefully not to long though

As many of you know, I blew my driveshaft and cracked my T-case a few weeks ago... I bought an SYE kit, tomwood driveshaft, and had my T-case rebuilt..

Ok, So i get it all back together after two weeks of sitting...Get everything all in and tight... Take her for a drive, everything seems good, come back around the neighbor hood, Push the clutch in... jeep stalls....WTF? The throwout bearing is squeeling away when their is no preasure on it, Jeep stalls pretty close to everytime the clutch is pushed in, when put in 4wd high their is alot of clunking and loud noice under the jeep, It wont hold 4wd lo either, on top of that my speedometer isnt working either (yes i check all the connections), On top of that somehow my driverside speaker blew????

Hopefully they'll fix her up for me...

Sheesh, scared me, first thing I thought was you were selling it. That too bad, Odd. (and the speaker was just the universe sticking it to you, that sucks)

Yeah haha,
I got some good info while i was up their, He told me with the jeep stalling it could just be becuase of the speedo gear in the T-case is alittle to far away to pickup on the driveshaft, theirfor the jeeps computer has no idea how fast its going and how much gas to give it...hopefully its only that and nothing more. As far as everything else goes, He'll have to take a look at it...

This is his YJ...

383 lt1, custom chasis and suspension, 48" swampers, dual warn winches....etc.

I feel safe with my jeep in his hands....

Got it back today, $95 later.... It all was because of an adjustment that had to be made to the T-case so the speedo would pickup, and would tell the ecu how fast i going and how much gas to give it...

Only thing wrong now... Throw-out bearing is squeeling as speed rpms increase...

Tomorrow: go to school, to two midterms, then go to work on the jeep (top off tranny fluid, top of t-case fluid, Take off cherrybomb muffler, maybe install flowmaster cat-back if its still light out and warm)

Just glad to have my jeep (heep) back.

Glad you got your jeep back, but it's sad to see that you had to pay 95 bucks to have something done that probably took them no more than 5 minutes to do. All they did was probably unbolt the speedo gear. Rotate it a quarter or half turn and put it back in.
