Question Jeep Name?

Under a recent post titled "Do's and Don'ts of First Time Jeep Owners" I noticed that one of the Do's suggested was to "name your ride'". I was just wondering what everyone has decided to name their ride?

"Sylvia"

She wasn't silver, but chrome. Sylvia just seemed to fit better.

Actually, (not caring how many times this thread appears), I haven't named my Jeep, and it IS my "first."

Over the years, I've never named ANY of my vehicles...don't know why, just haven't. Don't suppose it struck me as necessary.

I once had a motorcycle that I sold and I was asked by the buyer if I had given it a name, and I lied and said "Gladys." Somehow I figured it made the buyer believe that I loved it more or something.

If I HAD to name my Jeep, just thinking off the cuff, I suppose I'd name it "Thunder" or something like that.

Sorry for the double post guys. Does that mean that I get a demerit or have to sit in the time-out corner?

I think names for Jeeps aren't thought of by the owner when they're new, they are usually earned by some trait or event... they "come to you"... and usually by friends. Mine got the name Geezer Jeep but I'm still trying to figure out how that one was arrived at.

It isn't in both forums, it got moved to the General Jeep Discussions forum because it was decidedly non-tech.

Mine jeep is called "Momma's jeep" to distinguish it from "Daddy's jeep" or "Daddy's Grand Cherokee."

i believe a guy should name their vehicle after a girl, vice versa for a girl naming hers using a guys name..

ive always just called mine my baby.. havent thought of a name for her yet (had her since 99) but she'll get one one day..

heh we got 3 cats and none of em has names.. my dog just got his because he loved watching the 300 with me so i named him leonidas.. (the 300 was the only movie he actually laid in my bed and watched the tv, and hes done it like 10 times)

he also likes to watch animal planet too =p

My kids named mine: RKETR = RocKEaTeR

So figured why not. Got the license plate and the web site (www.rketr.com). Figured they were the cheapest "mods" I'd be doing to it
