Jeep over heating help

I had a cool climate thermostat in my jeep 93 wrangler yj I replaced it yesterday with a regular one and my jeep right away started to heat up also the hoses forthe heater were disconnected so I connectecd them again but it started to leak a lot of water from the outside and a little from the inside, I disconnected the hosez again but the jeep kept on heating up what could be wrong?

OE tstat is 190 I believe. The cooling system seems to get trapped bubbles when you mess with it and folks have to burp it a little to get them to clear. Even without the heater core it should maintain a temp right around 210. Flush is the best I can get you and make sure the stat was installed in the proper direction. Check your mech fan and clutch also.
