Jeep Rust

hey does anyone have any idea on how to keep rust from developing on the door hinges.. or should i just replace the door hinges..

any info would be appreciated.

when you see rust, try to grind it off, down to bare metal, then paint it promptly. Ive also had some luck with the rust "inhibitors", depending on how bad the rust is.

New bushings for the hinges might help prevent the paint from getting rubbed off. check this link:

There's no sure-fire "prevention" method I know of besides keeping it in a dry, climate controlled garage and never taking it out. All you can do is repair as you see it. Fighting rust just comes with the territory. It's part of having a jeep.
