Trust me when i tell you that the passenger compartment of those 3rd gen 4runners is the place to be if you are ever in any sort of accident. The damage to the runner was nuts, but it is what keeps the passengers ok. My old runner looked like absolute hell after my wreck. The thing was smaller in every dimension, the insurance person took one look at it from 20 feet away and knew it was totaled. But when you got closer and looked at it, that is when you see just how tough those things are. The passenger area was perfectly intact. they may not be built to take a beating in a crash, but they sure as hell are built to protect the passengers. All that crumpled up metal absorbs the impact, and personally, i would rather have a totaled truck and be alive and healthy as a horse, then have my truck survive, but have me feeling rough and needing to be patched up.

The Jeep should have used the truck as an anchor.

^ naw always better to use a tree and rocks that are a few tons (IE the rock). The truck can slide and that is very bad and if you slide on that road you all might end up off the side of that mountain.

If you haven't gotten more out of the insurance company than you deserve, then you haven't screwed them nearly as much as they have been screwing you for the past xx years.

Amazing recovery for the rig doing the pulling. More a show of how good the warn winch works. There were so many highly dangerous things done during that video that my head is spinning. They are lucky they made it out of there with only a busted yota.

Is it just me, or does it sound like they have a diesel in that Jeep?
