A philips and standard screw driver, duct tape, zip ties, wire cutter, wrench, jumpers, and a tow rope. I don't think that there is any possible problem that cannot be fixed with those.

My essential tool kit

At 68 you do not want to brake down without enough tools to do some kind of fix. The essentials was my adaption of a survival tool kit for my motorcycle. First is the tool bag, a belt pouch with 2 compartments. In the main compartment is a small 5.25" Vice Grip plyer, a 4" Craftsman multi-tool #45521 with needle nose main tool, 8" ruler, philips and flat screw drivers, awl, file, wire cutter, can opener, wire cutter and knife blade, a separate bright orange multi screwdriver with 4 screwdrivers and a socket, a multi torque driver has 4 different torque drivers and easy to spot yellow, two Eklind multi hex drivers, #20911 US standard and Metric #M17. In the small front pouch is a 3.5" Columbia River Knife and Tool 'Apache II, a GI can opener, a magniseum and flint firestarter, a Parker Cut. Co. survival tool, a valve stem tool and a chain breaker. The weight is 3 pounds and it has a belt loop that is handy for walking and working in a salvage yard. Most of these tool are 20 years old so my guess on cost is around $100 to $200. I only buy quaility tools after breaking several cheap multi-tools. The best tool kit is the one you have with you. Tried to post photos but something is not connecting
