Jeep Wave

http://jeeptalk.org/jeep_wave.php
Let's put it in an email, and have everyone send it to 3+ people and 3+ stealerships with instructions to do the same. 6 degrees of separation type thing until everyone is in the know
Yea?

Within 5 miles of picking up my first Jeep, I received my first wave. Its kinda cool to acknowledge one another, as a Jeep custom and courtesy to other Jeep owners. A time honored tradition.....

This is also the same tradition honored by Corvette owners as well as motorcycle riders, so with that said..... Save the Wave! Keep the tradition alive.

I haven't admitted this before ... but a couple of weeks ago, I was sitting across an intersection from a...I hate to say it...land cruiser. It was an older model and it was lifted with some pretty cool mods. It looked nice. Well, I kinda felt sorry for him 'cause he wasn't driving a Jeep. Here it comes...I waved at him. Did I break protocol by such an action? He waved back and actually left with a smile on his face. I felt better because of it. But I looked around to make sure no other Jeepers saw it.

Lol, Dockman. I've done that before driving down the highway with what looked like a CJ5 approaching from the opposite direction. "Oops...that wasn't a Jeep. ....ah, well. Looked cool. He probably gets that all the time..."

the wave hierarchy is ridiculous. if you see a jeep WAVE, it's that simple.

You'll see me again XtrmTj. And I'll have no doubt who it is when I see you. I'll be contacting you in December because my son, now Lcpl Anderson, will be home from Japan and I've told him about your Jeep. He can't wait to see it. I'm gonna keep wavin'.

Any older classic well built and obviously wheeled rig gets a wave also. at that point it's not a "jeep wave" it's cool old rig still goin strong wave. FJ40's, Scouts,60's bronco's, and power wagons (the originals not the new crap dodge made few years ago) all get a It's always nice to see the older stuff on the road no matter the make.

I always wave. I think it's a cool time honored tradition. I don't always get a return wave, most notably from the four door JK owners, but I still wave. I've had XJ and ZJ owners wave and I wave back, but never had any other old time off roader wave. I'd wave back though, what the hell, with the world the way it is what's wrong with waving to a fellow American?
