Jeep yj wont start after being hosed down

Hey guys, I just washed my 94 yj and now it wot start. I rinsed down the engine area since it was muddy. I'm thinking distributor cap? When I go to start it, it sounds like I'm not Getting a spark. The battery catches then sorta makes a "womp" sounds. It's been sitting in the sun for an hour and still no luck. I need to get to work help please!

Pull the dist cap and make sure its dry, blow it out or wipe it dry if not. If ya got water on top of your spark plugs, thatll cause a problem too.

I pulled the plugs off and blew on them and wiped them dry. Do I need to take the actual cap off?

I would. Use an alcohol pad and wipe it down on the inside. Make sure the alcohol fully evaporates before putting it back on. Make sure all the plug wires are fully seated.
