JK Backspacing

Help Please,
One of my good buddies has an 07' Rubi W/ 3.5" of lift and 35x12.50x17. His wife is going to surprise him with some new 17" rims. What is the Correct backspacing? I know it's a 5x5 bolt pattern. I drive a TJ, so I am not much help. Any advice would be great.

Thanks...

I don't know the answer, but I'm sure someone here does. My advice would be to contact Joe at Absolute Offroad in Phoenix. He goes by Absolute Offroad here, maybe you could PM him. He seems to be the JK Know it All 'round these parts.

Hmmm, does he already have aftermarket wheels on his 35's? JK's stock rims are like 5.5" backspaced so if lifted you'll either see spacers or new rims with around 3.75" backspaced rims to clear the rear upper control arms.
