made you look....

Is there any point to the milkjugs on the tj bumper and is there any reason not to remove them?

They are there for you to take them off. Any normal jeeper has stock take-off stuff cluttering up the garage.

As big jeep said, Its the big plastic peices at the end of a stock tj bumper. The are held on by a couple of torx bolts. I dont believe the jugs (lol) have any purpose.

I took them off and actually sold them on ebay. No yard or extra closet space where to store them

All these years I never knew they were safety devices, no wonder I've never drowned... wait... what?

Well I was disapointed after getting in this thread.

I still have the back ones on as they do protect my body from the rocks. Front ones came off immediately.

No worries I see alot of them on the trails after being ripped off, so if you want some they are plentiful, I never had them either, When I baught this jeep it had Warn Rockcrawlers on it so I lucked out. In fact I think the only jeep I ever had that was equipped with stock bumpers was my old Grand Wagoneer.

There's just something funny about calling them "jugless" bumpers.

Dare man, I'm speechless...... and that's hard to do.

Side note that's actually on topic - I took them off, but the one's on the back don't look so bad. I can't put on the bumber I want right now so I have to keep this one for a while. What are the square rubber things on the front of the bumber for? Protection for other cars in case I hit them?

I'd leave your jugs on if I were you. "It" just looks better that way.
