Jump Worthy?

Ok, would a stock Jeep Wrangler be "Jump Worthy"?

What I mean is - I know most (if not all) say Trail Rated but what about going over hills fast enough that you get air?

If not (stuff would likely break) then what would it take to make it hold up to jumping?

Just so ya know - I have a stock 2006 Wrangler TJ - says Trail Rated but I think they all are from what I've heard.

I might make a couple jumps successfully, but after a couple things are gonna start to give. control arm brackets, shocks, motor mounts, the like. It will all break. They were made for the road not the air.

No vehicle is jump ready...except maybe that F150 they had on top gear.

If youre going to jump it, get ready to shell out for repairs.

The only thing you need to make it jump worthy is Dozer, Oange Crush, or one of them models, and a big confederate flag painted on the hardtop. 01 painted on the welded shut half doors helps. Guaranteed to make an awesome jump. Once.

WTF? Why would anyone even think about airing a Jeep on purpose?

I know... to each their own, but seriously... sounds like s**t I used to dream up when I was in HS and just smoked a 2-finger bag.

I was once stupid enough to jump my first 4 wheel drive off a hill. you know what happens if your wheels are not perfectly straight when you land? you wreck, and you wreck bad. every one who saw my truck after were surprised that i was still alive. in the hands of your average, every day driver, NO vehicle is jump ready. you think jumping your vehicle is a good idea, then you do it with no one else around, cause when you crash, you dont want to find out that your stupidity got some one else hurt or worse.

I think all jeeps are jump worthy....it is just the landing that could cause some issues

i could never imagine jumping a jeep that had a lot of money in it and was purpose built to do it.
I got my front tires off the ground once from hittin a "whoop" to fast and just that hurt when it came back down. Thank god nothing broke

the stock axles can't take the force and the outer Cs and tubes will bend.

there are lots of jeeps that jump. aka JeepSpeed. but they have trussed axles and most are running very stiff Deaver springs to take the shock from the landings.

In short a stock Wrangler will not do well with getting air.

This one ended with a snapped shaft on the steering box

this one ended with a very bent front axle
