K&N drop in filter help

hey guys i just discovered that the previous owner installed a K&N filter on my 01 TJ. So instead of buying a new air filter i went a head and purchased the recharge kit from K&N. Wow this air filter thing turned into an hour long process of spraying the cleaner, letting it sit then rinsing it off (repeating) and then i had to let it dry for over an hour, then spray it with oil, then let that sit for 20min. Is all of this worth it? It seems that buying a good air filter and tossing it when it get dirty would be much easier. What brand of filter do you guys use?

thanks,

jw

Practically anything that will fit that's not a K&N or a Fram.

I can't find A/C Delco's for sale in any of my autopart stores, so I order them online 3 at a time.

I heard to stay away from the Fram oil filters. I don't don't know about their air filters.
