Keeping the tailgate open? HOW?

I looked around, and couldn't find a thread that talked about this. I'm new to the forum, so I may not be good at searching yet, I do apologize.

Very simple question really. I've seen some things that can be installed on wranglers to keep the tailgate open when you need it open. I have a 2010, and haven't been able to find anything that's available for newer wranglers?

Anyone have a link or some help that I could buy to be able to keep it open when I'm loading stuff in the trunk.

Thanks in advance

I think I answered my own question. Is this the best thing? Just came across this on Google. Tail Gate Stopper, Billet Aluminum Rugged Ridge*11238.11 by the Jeep Specialists | Morris 4x4 Center

That's the most expensive thing out there.
I just keep a tiny block of wood in the back. When I need to keep the tailgate open, it goes between the hole on the tailgate hinge and the bolt on the tub hinge.
Works just as good, but was $44.99 cheaper.

That's the kind of response I like. The kind where I say to myself "moron, it's common sense" haha. I do like the fact that the other one would be automatic, but like you said, no point spending money on something that can be done for free. Thanks for the suggestion.

Do it for free, or order this

Tailgate Assist, "Rampage" from JCWhitnety, ebay, Amazon, 4wheelparts-etc Average $40 bucks, it's like like a hood assist "shock"

It's not automatic. You have to loosen the knob, slide the stop out, then retighten the knob.

I like that hydraulic one a lot. That looks like the best option to me. I assume it's very similar to the window lift that's on the jeep alrady? Meaning by default, it'll stay open, and will just require a little more force to close it?

Thanks guys for the suggestions and links.

I also use a piece of wood. Works good and saves me money for other mods.
