Key fob not working...

So... 2 days owning the jeep and now I have a second problem.

(First being the radio powering off)

Now the key fob only works occasionally. I have attempted to use it 5-6 times last night with nothing working. I unlock the door and open it... the alarm goes off.

Then when I turn the engine on then back off, the key works again.

This is going to get annoying quickly... I don't want to wake my neighbors up at 10am when I go to work every night with the alarm.

But... semi major problems in 2 days...

Just tried reseating the battery and that didn't work... Could this be because of the radio problem?

The three buttons on your key. I'm quickly learning not to use it. I just read in another thread it might be the main fuse (IOD) not being plugged in correctly.

I really hope that's what it is.

wake your neighbors up at 10am? Do you live by a bunch of drug dealers who are up all night? Oh, wait, I'm up and I'm not a drug dealer... Hmm Oh and Yeah, I have read if you reseat the fuse it stops the problem... sometimes.

Aren't some stock radios somehow connected to the alarm?

I live in Germany and the neighbors have been quite upset with me ever since I put headers/xpipe and some stingers on my mustang. I've had polezi called on me twice because of the car.

I'll go check the fuse. Thanks for the tip. Time to upset the neighbors

And I have never gone under my own "Hey lets go to the club" I was with a friend and he was like "want some lunch? I'm buying!" and we pulled up to the club... That was my first and last time... promise.

The fuse is in a little box that allows it to move up and down. I reseated it and have not had problems. I guess it came loose in the shipping over here. Good thing I wasn't to worried!
