lack of bigger fender flares = under fire!

im just curious if this happens to anyone of you who dont have the proper sized fender flares to cover your oversized tires.

you have your doors off, youre on a dirt road that has some small rocks on it, and all of a sudden youre under fire!!

its happened to me many times! im minding my own business, driving down a trail, blabbing on the cb radio, and BAM! BAM, BAM, BAM!! my mud tires are spitting rocks at me!

scared the crap out of me the first time ! i immediately dove for the center of the vehicle, and grabbed my dog who was sitting shot gun with me and pulled him away from the passenger side. haha

it´s the same with mud. with too small flares you´ll be covered with mud after some deep mud-holes.

my 7" flares look a bit ugly. but the thread of the tires is covered and the tires never throw stones or mud at me.

and the other advantage of the wide flares is that thh tires can go under it in full flex. with too small flares the tires rub at the edge of the flares and the flares will be damaged.

yes spanky it def. wakes you up if u r driving and u start to get the small chunks tossed at you.. I took my flares off completely the other day and went on a haul road and within like 30 seconds my jeep was covered and rocks were dinging everywhere

its fun.. bres jeep has smaller fenders than me (x vs sahara) and she tends to get her jeep dirtier..

it sucks when you wash your jeep and hit a mud hole on your way home lol
