Leaving a hi-lift out in the weather?
I see a lot of jeeps running around with hi-lifts mounted to the hood/bumper/etc. Considering it is a simple metal lift system (i.e. no electronics or anything), I'm not as worried about leaving it out as something more delicate.. but that said, is there any worry about them rusting? malfunctioning from rain and sun sitting in/on them? Other than building some kind of custom case to hold them, is there anything more that can be done to protect them? or is there no need and they are made to be left out?
