Let's Rank Jeep's Most Off-Road Capable Vehicles!!!

Would love to get some opinions on the most capable STOCK 2012 models! I am guessing it looks something like this:

1. Wrangler/Wrangler Unlimited
2. Grand Cherokee
3. Liberty
4. Compass
5. Patriot

Obviously, we can break down each STOCK vehicle into the different models for each (i.e. Rubicon above Sport/Sahara).

The fact that you included the Compass in a list of "Most Off-Road Capable Vehicles" makes me

The new wk2 grand cherokee is barely a jeep at all IMO. Its become a luxury suv competing with the tahoe, escalade, land rover, ect. Most owners will never take it offroad and its not really meant to be taken offroad anyway. The wk2 also has full independent suspension now for better on road manners. Its come a looong way from the 2 solid live axle zj's and wj's. I'd put it second to last right above the compass (dont get me started on that thing)

I understand the market for suvs has changed and jeep has to change too to continue to sell vehicles and remain competitive, buts its sad at the same time. Look at it this way...if they didnt change to cater the changing demands of suv drivers, our beloved wrangler would probably be gone because the jeep brand would probably go extinct. So in a way those poor excuses for "real jeeps" have helped the wrangler continue on. Lets all just be thankful chrysler hasnt messed around too much with the wrangler and still offers it for those of us who value offroad capability!
