Lifetime Warranty

Picking up my new unlimited rubicon tomorrow (with 730 nav) and they offered me the lifetime warranty for $3495. Buy or not? And is it negotiable and what have you paid for yours, either from dealer or somewhere else. Please help!!! Thanks in advance

I bought my lifetime through chryslerwarrantys.com as the dealer here wanted $5800 for it.

I paid $2200 for the exact same warranty and I verified with the dealershipo service manager that it was the same.

thanks for your reply and the info. I think I'm gonna buy it online unless dealer matches price.

If you plan on doing any form of mods on your Jeep, like lift it in particular, forget about it because you will have a lot of problems with warrantee claims.

Your comment is not correct at all first off the dealer has to prove the mod is the direct reason for the break on the part and TRUST I know from experience in dealing with them. On the OP question I am with pluke Dont get it just stick with the factory warranty if you plan on doing any mods if your a stock jeep person then maybe I would get it.

Problems depend on the dealer. My dealer is mod friendly and I don't use the other one that isn't.

I went in and asked what would happen if I changed to a lift and bumpers and they said great have us put them on for you. I even asked 2 different service people and the manager, he now likes my Jeep a lot and wants it parked out front....
Does that mean he will cover the broken spring or wheel stud, no that is an option and not covered, but all of the rest of the Jeep is.

Ask them and see.

I checked into the lifetime warranty when I purchased my 2012 Rubicon. The salesman could not produce anything that had the details of what is covered etc. Just a lot of lip. I would not purchase the lifetime warranty unless they came up with the details. The devil is in the details.

They didn't even have a copy of the contract to look at? I agree, if they can't show me what is covered, in writing, then I wouldn't buy one either. I did get one for my 2010, it cost about $2400, and it is the Chrysler warranty.
