lights

Hey gang,

I am most likely going to be getting some offroad lights for the heep this summer, and was looking at the KC slimlite 130 watt long range lights
( http://www.quadratec.com/products/97048_20.htm ). Was just wondering if any of you guys run them, and if so, how do you like them. I haven't ever really heard negative feedback on KCs (esp since they have a 23yr warranty), but just wanted to ask anyway.

Thanks,
Carlos

Never had experience with the long range 130watts, but I did have some Hella 500 free forms with 100 watt upgraded bulbs. They were nice, good quality, but I wish I had gone with the IPFs. I could have upgraded the bulbs in the IPFs and had a better flood/spot combo with the IPFs as opposed to my "wanna be" flood/spot that was really just a spot.

With that said, I think those 130 watt KCs will blow the 55watt IPFs out of the water, but I am not too sure about 100 watt IPFs.

They have the upgraded 100w bulbs.

You can see them here.

I will also sell you the matching set of IPF E Code housings for 60. And the fat boy bulbs for 65. They are also pictured above.

The IPF 968s come with the IPF relay and a switch plus a set of covers(if I can find them). You can wire the lights to come on with the switch or wire them like I do. I prefer them to key on with my brights.

The E Code housings are a clear lens that allow tons more light distribution. The fat boy bulbs produce quite a bit more light. It is an extremely nice setup. Only selling them cause we are putting my wife's jeep(the red one) back to stock.

i might have to jump on these with my next pay check if you still have them then... i'd prob only get the IPFs, not the housings or bulbs... i'll pm you when i get paid and see if you still have them, that sounds good, wiring them into the high beams...

cool. Let me know.

I prefer all 4 lights on at the same time. So now it is just a flip of the bright switch and I get all 4. I will send the color code of the wire along with the set so you know which wire to tap for the source.
